For more than 45 years, Van has been continuously learning and applying himself to the process of improvement.  

He is an Integrator, Visionary, Teacher and Coach.

Career highlights include: 

• Sprint and the nation's first fiber-optic network.  Starting in the early 80's, Van was among the first employees, leading numerous functions including Network Operations, Engineering, Program Management and Sales Engineering in support of the commercial business. 
• TCI (now Comcast), where he helped pioneer the early stages of advanced 2-way HFC networking.  
• Level 3 Communications,  where he organized and executed worldwide network operations, field operations, network management, network and customer-facing provisioning, customer service, and information technologies.
• Evermore Group as founder where he has taught EOS®, Operations Science and coached high performance to dozens of small, medium and large corporations. 
• Highwinds as COO of a service provider focused on the ISP and CDN markets worldwide.
• Stratto as co-founder and COO which was a Cisco-backed new venture to provide indoor wireless service to enterprise.
• Xspand as founder and CEO.  Xspand is a holding and advisory venture focused on the enterprise building tech markets including WIFI, Cell, IOT and Public Safety systems.

​Van is an expert in operations management for businesses of all sizes.
He is an accomplished writer, public speaker, team builder, and motivator. When not in a boardroom or working on operational challenges, Van pursues life-balance with other passions, including sailing, astronomy, aviation, gardening, serving the community through his church, and enjoying his extended family. 
Van and his wife Pamela live in North Palm Beach Florida.
